Grant Livingston, with special guest Gary Bremen
at Stirling Road Library
Sunday April 26, 2026
Singer/Songwriter Grant Livingston is passionate about our natural environment. He wants you to laugh, to think, to sing-along, to believe, and ultimately to be the ones who make a difference for our future. He has written about armadillos, barnacles, the invasion of the Everglades by Melaleuca trees and pythons, and how to tell the difference between an alligator and a crocodile. The New Times named Grant one of the “Ten Greatest South Florida Folksingers of All Time” and has called him “a cross between Jimmy Buffett and Sesame Street. Grant was Artist-in-Residence at Everglades National Park in 2019.
Grant’s special guest today will be Storyteller and retired National Park Ranger Gary Bremen. Gary’s work has appeared in national magazines, on television, radio and podcasts. Two of his stories have been chosen for the national storytelling podcast The Moth. One of these stories was downloaded over one million times. Over the last nine years, Gary and Grant have traveled the country to present Songs and Stories of Our National Parks. In addition to Grant’s original songs, you’ll be hearing excerpts from that show today.
